Sunflower wedding invitations
August 16, 2007 by Jenni
This is my favorite RSVP card I’ve ever created. Normally when wedding stationery is featured on our website, the focus is on the invitation itself. But this time, the spotlight shines on the reply card, because it looks so good (if I do say so myself).
Working with Calley & Steve was fun because they’re not total strangers; we have some mutual friends, and Steve even come to Lunalux for a one-on-one letterpress lesson while he was in school a few years ago. When he came in with his bride-to-be, they expressed interest in something modern, with a floral graphic. We settled on a pale blue Italian paper, printed in brown and forest green. It feels fresh and uncommon, but still formal and invitation-y.

I love this invitation!!! Is there anyway I can order for my wedding?
Kristen – Yes, we can make sunflower invitations for you for your wedding! We do custom projects all the time, and work with clients near and far.
The invitation you saw on our site was printed in brown and green inks on light blue textured card stock, with off-white textured envelopes. We can recreate it exactly as-is, or we can change the fonts, ink colors, paper or envelopes so that it suits you and your wedding to a T.
Let me know how many invitations you need, what pieces you need (this invitation set included an invitation and mailing envelope, plus an RSVP postcard and an insert about hotels), and when you need the invites to be done – with that information, I can do an estimate for you. If you’re comfortable with the pricing, we can talk more about the details (what you want the invites to say, any changes you want to make to the colors or papers) and I can send you a printed sample of the invitation.
If you decide you want us to make invitations for you, we ask for a 50% deposit up front. Once you sign off on the final art work, it takes us about 2 weeks to print them. Final payment is due when the project is complete.
I love this invitation as well, I’m having a sunflower themed wedding in July 2011 and only need about 20-30 invitations, having a wedding of 40 to 45 people. My question is, is there a way to add color to the sunflower itself? And have the writing in brown, those are my colors. And how would I go about ordering?
