Hand-blown glass pendants, marbles and paperweights are now for sale in the Lunalux store. Local artist Alex Koprowski created these gems. In addition to glass, Alex also works with wood and metal; he’s a gifted artist, and we’re pleased to offer some of his work in our studio. Click on the picture to the left for an enlarged view of one of the pendants – it measures approximately 1.5 inches across, and is over a half inch thick. It’s shown here strung on a black satin ribbon, but would also look great on a silver chain or something that calls out the iridescent blue sparkles.

Speaking of sparkles… Many of the AK Design pieces available at Lunalux (including that pendant and these jumbo marbles, approx. 1.5 inches in diameter) incorporate sparkling dichroic glass – it’s challenging to capture their beauty with a digital camera, but they’re rather magical looking. Peering into these baubles, it looks like outer space spinning around in there. Prices range from $22 for a small clear marble containing a spiral of orange, to $46 for a hefty paperweight. All pieces are created by hand, and are one-of-a-kind originals.
