This weekend, Lunalux hosts another Stationery Saturday. We’ll have the press inked up and ready to roll from 11a.m. to 6p.m. on Saturday March 27, and we’ll be imprinting icon notecards all day long. You can watch for a mini letterpress tutorial as we set your lead type and run your cards through the Heidelberg Windmill, or do a little shopping while we do the dirty work. Clients will have three designs to choose from: black scissors, aqua pointer or red book. The name or phrase of your choice will be set in 18-point Goudy Old Style, and letterpress-printed in dark gray ink. The 4.5×6.25-inch cards are 130# bright white wove-finish bristol cover, and will be paired with matching white A6 square-flap envelopes. As always, it’s just $29 for 10 cards & envelopes. You’ll find more details about Stationery Saturday, and a schedule of upcoming dates, on the Stationery Saturday page.
We need to make room for some fresh new merchandise in the Lunalux studio store, so lots of stuff is on sale – 25-75% off original prices! You’ll find calendars; Moleskine notebooks & datebooks; letterpress-printed and screen-printed greeting cards; boxed notecards; and other little goodies. To promote the sale, we sent out these postcards to our mailing list. The cards are letterpress-printed in three colors on 110# natural white Strathmore bristol cover. We rarely print anything with more than two ink colors, so we’re thrilled to show off this little beauty. We love the quote from Henry David Thoreau, and the dreamy color scheme. As always, we printed a few extras of the postcard, which are for sale in our shop for $2.50 each. If you live in Minnesota and you’d like to be added to our snail mail list, just use this contact form to send us your address and we’ll make sure you get our mailings in the future. Our spring sale runs through Saturday April 17. Visit the studio store page for directions and store hours.
Our three-color Thoreau postcards are available for purchase in our Minneapolis studio for $2.50 each, or you can purchase 5-packs online through our Felt & Wire shop. We also recently printed this design on a folded card, with bright red and green inks – this is also available both in our studio and through our online store.
We’ve been feeling a lot of love for our Twin Towns lately, and it’s showing in our printing. Next time you visit the Lunalux studio store, check out our new collection of Twin-Cities-themed paper goods. A recent snapshot of the Minneapolis skyline (taken from the Franklin Avenue bridge, near the Electric Fetus) was converted into a black-and-white image, which we’ve letterpress-printed along the bottom edge of an A6 flat notecard. We also recently created a bunch of Call-Me cards for the locals, some featuring the 612 and 651 area codes, others with a simple silhouette of our great state. Call-Mes were conceived as do-it-yourself calling cards, but we think these designs are great as place-cards and gift tags as well. Six Minnesota-y designs in all are available, each in your choice of black or red ink on natural white card-stock. The collection is rounded out with 612 and 651 folded notecards (not shown) and of course a couple Minnesota-themed pads from our ever-changing selection of scratch pads. All these products are available in our studio store – check our store page for hours, directions, etc.
