Lunalux has been preserving the traditions of letterpress printing since 1993. In our Minneapolis studio overlooking Loring Park, we create charming paper goods using vintage letterpress equipment and modern photopolymer technology.
You’ll find Lunalux calling cards, stationery, greeting cards & invitations in stationery and gift boutiques around the United States. Lunalux products have been featured in publications such as Martha Stewart Living, Bride’s, InStyle Weddings and Minnesota Monthly. Twin Cities residents have the opportunity to see our presses in action while shopping our studio store. The shelves are stocked with Lunalux products, including special editions not available anywhere else, along with other paper goods and unique gifts.
The store is open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Lunalux also offers design & printing services, specializing in wedding invitations, announcements, personal stationery & business stationery. We invite you to stop by to browse through sample albums, or call to schedule a consultation. Click here to read about the press coverage we’ve been getting!
Press Coverage
- Lunalux featured in Minneapolis St. Paul Magazine
Lunalux owner Jenni Undis is featured in the latest edition of Minneapolis St. Paul Magazine, in the column People Who Do Cool Things. Look for the interview and a smattering of photos on page 60 of the February 2010 issue. The magazine is on newsstands now, and the story should be available on the MSP [...]
- Design + Print: program covers
Have you noticed that the Lunalux blog has been kinda quiet lately? Me too. The main reason: I took several weeks off from work in October because my mom passed away. I come from a great big family, so we all huddled together for a while to take care of each other. There is, indeed, [...]
- Letterpress fun around the Twin Cities
No trip to the Great Minnesota Get-together is complete without a tour of the Minnesota Newspaper Museum (I wrote about last year’s visit over here). Tucked away in the back corner of Heritage Square, itself in the back corner of the vast fair grounds, the museum offers visitors a peek at the past with its [...]
- Lunalux featured in NWA in-flight magazine
Flying somewhere on Northwest Airlines this month? Be sure to look in the May 2008 issue of World Traveler, the NWA in-flight magazine, for a brief story on Lunalux. A three-page round-up of must-see shops and restaurants in the Twin Cities (pp. 33-35) includes a picture of Lunalux owner Jenni (that’s me!) and a write-up [...]
- Letterpress printing on rollerskates?!?!
Lunalux owner/designer Jenni Undis was featured yesterday in the Star Triune. Jenni (or rather, her Minnesota RollerGirls alter-ego Rizzo) was pictured on the front and back pages of the Source section, and quoted extensively in a story about the day jobs of rollergirls. You can read the whole story at the Star Tribune website. You [...]
- Good deeds done dirt cheap
Most of the time, we’re straining to make ends meet around here. But occasionally, when we’re feeling a little flush, we’re able to do design and letterpress work at a discounted rate, to help a worthy person or cause. Two such projects passed through our studio this past fall. Markus Wuollet is a young man [...]
- Closed for the day
Lunalux is closed today – Jenni has gone to the Minnesota State Fair! You can say hi to me at the Memorial Blood Center’s station at the KARE11 Health Building. I’m the one wearing a t-shirt that says “Do you know an O?”
- Be nice to me, I gave blood yesterday
I’m a regular at the Red Cross, making frequent donations at the Twin Cities Area Chapter in downtown Minneapolis for the past few years. Yesterday I proudly hit a new milestone: two gallons! As I sat in the canteen drinking my grape juice and refueling with Nutter Butters and Cheez-Its, I received a new gold-tone [...]
